Built in 1996, the now 30-year-old branch requires essential upgrades and repairs to meet accessibility standards and better serve Lincoln’s growing community.
The upcoming expansion will double the size of the branch, adding approximately 6,000 square feet. Enhancements will include new meeting rooms, an Indigenous reflection space, and the relocation of the Friends of Lincoln’s History Archives. Energy-efficient upgrades, including a new roof, HVAC system, and triple-glazed windows, will ensure long-term sustainability.
Construction is expected to begin in 2027, with completion anticipated for spring 2029.
