Visiting Library Service

The Visiting Library Service (VLS) provided by Lincoln Pelham Public Library (LPPL) is for community members who are unable to visit the library due to age, disability, or illness. This service is available to residents of Lincoln (Beamsville, Vineland, Vineland Station, Jordan, Jordan Station, Campden, Tintern, and Rockway) and Pelham (Effingham, Fenwick, Fonthill, North Pelham, and Ridgeville).

Individuals are welcome to apply, or a family member or caregiver can apply on an individual’s behalf. If you are requesting this service as a resident or on behalf of someone living in long-term care, please contact library staff.

If an individual is not a current LPPL cardholder, please contact the library to issue a library card or apply online here.

How it Works

Library staff will select materials based on the member’s preferences. Specific titles can also be requested; these are subject to availability. Selected materials will be checked out on the individual’s card and packed in an LPPL bookbag.

The VLS member will receive a reminder phone call before materials are dropped off and picked up. If the member is unable to receive the materials at this time, they will be contacted the following month for delivery.

On the day of delivery, a library staff member or volunteer will drop off new materials and pick up returns. Please ensure all returned materials are inside the bookbag.

There are no late fines; fees apply for lost or damaged items.

There will be a loan period of approximately four to six weeks (based on a VLS member’s preference and staff availability) and a limit of ten items per loan period.
