Support the Next Chapter: Fonthill

Be Part of the Story

Thank you for considering a gift. Every dollar helps ensure the library remains accessible, vibrant, and ready to meet the needs of everyone—from toddlers to seniors, from newcomers to lifelong learners. Donations can be made online or at any LPPL branch. Gifts of $20 or more are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.

For any questions or assistance with making a donation, please contact Cassandra Best.

Donate Online

Donate online using CanadaHelps. You can make a one-time gift or set up automatic monthly donations. A monthly gift of $42 over five years qualifies donors for recognition on the donor wall. Donors can choose to list their own name, honour the memory of a loved one, or remain anonymous. Please complete a pledge form so your commitment can be recorded and recognized.

Make a Pledge

A pledge is a written promise to donate a specific amount of money over a set period of time. Pledges can be made monthly (online) or yearly for up to five years, with a payment schedule that suits your needs. Pledges help us forecast donations more accurately and plan fundraising.

Donate Securities & Mutual Funds

Make a meaningful impact in your community by donating publicly traded securities or mutual funds directly to the library. In most cases, donating appreciated stocks, mutual funds, or stock options means you pay no tax on capital gains.

You will receive a charitable tax receipt based on the fair market value of the investment when it is received by the library’s broker.

Donating securities directly, rather than selling and donating proceeds, may reduce the tax payable on the capital gain and increase the value of your gift to the library. Learn more on through Government of Canada and CanadaHelps

Make a gift of securities or mutual funds online through CanadaHelps or by completing the fillable form below. For assistance, please contact Julie Andrews

Leaving a Gift in a Will

Leaving a gift in a will (also called a bequest) can allow you to make a lasting difference in your community. You can leave a percentage of your estate or a specific amount. Even a modest gift can support the people who rely on the library.

If possible, please tell us about your intended gift so we can understand and honour your wishes. It is advised to speak with your financial or legal advisor before making a commitment.

Donor Recognition

Donors who give $2,500 or more may choose to be recognized on the donor wall or to honour or remember a loved one. Donors can also choose to remain anonymous. This permanent installation will be displayed prominently in the Fonthill Branch to celebrate the generosity of our community.

Recognition levels are:

$2,500 | $5,000

$10,000 | $25,000 | $50,000

$100,000 | $250,000 | $500,000

Naming opportunities are available for a variety of spaces in the Fonthill Branch, including quiet booths, the local history area, the multipurpose room, the children’s area, and more.

A naming gift creates a lasting connection between your generosity and a dedicated space that supports literacy and lifelong learning. Naming opportunities begin at $25,000 and may be pledged over up to five years. For more information, please contact  Julie Andrews
