Author Visit: True Crime with Stephen Metelsky

FreeCrime columnist, professor, and retired sergeant Stephen Metelsky shares stories from his career and two true-crime books Undercover and True Crime Stories from a Canadian Columnist.
Stephen is a professor at Mohawk College, Seneca College, and the University of Guelph-Humber. He teaches courses in criminology, gang intelligence, forensics, and criminal psychology. He also lectures about organized crime at Queens University.
In 2016 Stephen retired from policing as a sergeant after spending over 20 years as a detective. He specialized in organized crime, informant development and undercover operations – as a covert operator and handler.
In 2021 Stephen authored his first true crime non-fiction book – Undercover: Stories from the underworld of law enforcement. It received rave reviews in The Toronto Sun and was featured on a segment of CH Morning Live with Annette Hamm.
In 2023 Stephen authored his second book: True Crime stories from a Canadian columnist.
Stephen regularly liaises with the Canadian media pertaining to stories about true and organized crime.
Books will be available to purchase for $20 each (cash only).
