Books on the Bench: Amanda Peters

Join us under the tent at Fielding Estate Winery on September 27 for an evening with Amanda Peters.

Amanda is a writer of Mi’kmaq and settler ancestry. Her debut novel, The Berry Pickers, was a bestseller in Canada. In her brand-new short story collection, Waiting for the Long Night Moon, Amanda describes the Indigenous experience from an astonishingly wide spectrum in time and place—from contact with the first European settlers, to the forced removal of Indigenous children, to the present-day fight for the right to clean water.

Doors open at 6:30 pm, with Amanda in conversation with Yvonne Van Lankveld starting at 7 pm.

Your $45 ticket includes a glass of wine and a blueberry-themed treat. Non-alcoholic options will also be available. Additional beverages can be purchased.

Someday Books will be onsite selling books to be signed by the author.
