Lincoln Pelham Public Library (LPPL) has successfully secured $2 million towards the upgrade and expansion of the Rittenhouse Branch in Vineland through the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) grant program.
Built in 1996, the Rittenhouse Branch will receive upgrades to meet accessibility requirements and be the first net-zero municipal facility in Lincoln. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027 and take approximately 15 months.
Additional funds will be provided by the municipality and a capital campaign.
Community members are encouraged to complete an online survey to share feedback on initial drawings for the Rittenhouse Branch and Fonthill Branch. Paper surveys are available at each location. Surveys will be available until the end of April.
LPPL is one of three libraries selected for the most recent round of federal funding through the GICB program.
Plans remain underway to renovate the Fonthill Branch to meet accessibility guidelines. Watch for updates later this spring.
