eResource Changes:
Due to usage and costs, we are making changes to our eResources in January to better serve you.
- We will be adding the National Geographic Virtual Library and a Passenger and Immigration Lists Index for genealogy work, both of which can be accessed from home with your library card.
- We will no longer be offering Mango Languages, Chilton Auto Repair, or Flipster.
- eBooks and audiobooks will no longer be accessible through hoopla digital. To offset this, we will be increasing our eBook and audiobook selection through Libby to better match what our community is requesting.
- We will continue to offer music, movies, and television through hoopla digital.
Change to Non-Resident Access to eResources:
As of February 1, 2023, LPPL cardholders that reside outside of Lincoln and Pelham will no longer have access to the library’s eResources.
The agreement with LPPL’s eResource provider does not allow the Library to offer these resources to residents outside of our catchment area. If we continue to allow non-residents access, we will be in violation of this agreement, and it would put us at risk of losing access to our eResources.
Please note: this change will impact non-resident LPPL cards issued prior to October 2022. Non-resident cards issued during and after October 2022 do not have access to LPPL eResources.
The public library in your home community will have access to the same or similar eResources. Please contact your home community’s library for more information.
LPPL will continue to offer access to physical materials and programming to all cardholders.
Library Cards Required:
When you come into the library to borrow materials, please make sure you either have your library card or a picture of your library card barcode on your phone. If you don’t have your library card with you, staff will ask you to produce a picture I.D.
If you have lost your library card, we are offering a free replacement from now until December 31. As of January 3, 2023, the replacement cost will be $2.
