Lincoln Pelham Public Library (LPPL) is pleased to officially announce the installation of its first
permanent StoryWalk® in Pelham at Woodstream Park (87 Spruceside Crescent, Fonthill). A StoryWalk® is an outdoor reading experience in which pages from a book are displayed along a trail or pathway. StoryWalks® are free for anyone to enjoy and encourage literacy and physical movement.
Funds for the StoryWalk® were generously provided by the Pelham Art Festival. The Town of Pelham kindly installed the posts and StoryWalk® panels.
On Wednesday, October 12 at 2 PM, the community is invited to a ribbon cutting to open the
StoryWalk®. Mayor Marvin Junkin and library CEO Julie Andrews will say a few words, followed by a cheque presentation by representatives from the Pelham Art Festival.
Books will be changed regularly. The featured book for October is The Little Old Lady Who Was Not
Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
